Yesterday, I saw a dog. It was a small dog. It was white and very fluffy, with a black nose and tiny paws. Maybe it was covered in snow and that's why it was white, but that's the dog's business.
I saw the dog when I was on the bus to work. It was being walked and it looked very excited and happy to be out in the snow. This got me thinking. What if people were as excited as small dogs in the snow? What if we got super excited about the tiny things like gong outside, getting your favourite food or seeing your favourite people? Sure, it would be obnoxious at times but I think it would make the world a happier place.
But why do dogs get so happy and excited? What makes them so happy about those little things? Do dogs really feel happy or is it another emotion? What if dogs don't really 'love' us or see us as great beings that supply them with love or anything of the sort?
Do dogs even feel emotion? Who knows. We, as the human race may never figure it out.
